Swellwick Patrol rolls out to 40 surf clubs

Ahead of the 2026–27 patrol season, Swellwick Patrol now runs at 40 volunteer surf lifesaving clubs from Noosa to Torquay. Patrol captains set flags and hazards from a tablet in the tower, and Swellwick users at that beach see the change in seconds.

"Clubs told us the hardest part of a busy Saturday is getting the message out when the flags move," said Marlo Quintrell, who leads club partnerships. "Now it's one tap."

Swellwick passes 250,000 monthly users

Swellwick, the Gold Coast surf and coastal-conditions app, now has more than a quarter of a million people checking it each month, and has added 300 beaches in Western Australia and Tasmania.
