Work where the surf report is part of the job
We're a team of 18 in Burleigh Heads and remote along the coast. Flexible hours, because the tide doesn't care about meetings.
How we work
We ship small changes often. Engineers own a feature from ticket to release. Product, design and forecasting sit together, and lifeguards from partner clubs test every safety feature before it goes out.
Our tools
- Code lives in GitHub, with pull requests and automated tests on every change.
- Work is planned and tracked in Jira (our board), in two-week sprints.
- We talk in Slack, write things down in Notion, and use Google Workspace for email, docs and calendars.
- The apps are React Native; the forecast engine and Data API are TypeScript and Python on AWS.
- Payments run on Stripe.
